About Dr Lisa

Dr Lisa was the first GP to join our practice back in 1997. She studied at University of QLD in Brisbane followed by 5 years of training in Paediatrics at the Royal Children’s Hospital. Dr Lisa is an accredited trainer in the Triple-P Parenting Program and in her free time she sails dinghies and offshore boats.

Lisa has a good knowledge of the various services available for children on the Gold Coast and can facilitate referrals if needed.

Special Interests and Expertise

Dr Lisa enjoys seeing children from birth to teenage years and has extensive experience working with child patients. She is happy to help with any concerns about children such as developmental concerns, behavioural concerns, rashes, acute illnesses, immunisations, asthma, allergies and eczema. Lisa has a good knowledge of the various services available for children on the Gold Coast and can facilitate referrals if needed. She has Triple P parenting resources available to help with any behavioural concerns parents may have.

Lisa has worked in Diabetes Management since entering General Practice and is happy to assist patients to meet best evidence targets for their diabetic care. As part of routine prevention screening programs, she conducts skin checks and the practice has dermatoscopes that give 40x magnification to help detect early cancer. Dr Lisa strongly recommends pap smears every two years and Mammograms from 40 years old.

Dr Lisa offers contraception and menopause advice and is also available for discussions on STD prevention. If patients are planning on travelling overseas, Dr Lisa can provide the latest evidence for travel, she advises patients to make a booking at least one month before departure.

Lisa is a member of General Practice Gold Coast (GPGC), an association supporting general practice to improve the health outcomes of the Gold Coast population. She is also a member of the Immununisation Committee for Gold Coast Primary Health Network and attends regular updates on immunisation. She is happy to answer any questions or concerns about immunisations.
