About Dr Roger

Dr Halliwell is an experienced GP who has worked at RTMC since 2000. Working across the full range of general practice presentations he has been involved in training of the next generation of GP’s for many years. In addition to the management of chronic disease, men’s health and musculoskeletal disorders he has a passion for skin cancer medicine / surgery. He is accredited through the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and uses specialised imaging modes to assess skin lesions in detail.

Outside his clinical role Dr Halliwell is a director of two not-for-profit organisations contributing to the wider health care needs of the community. He has also become the public face of general practice in the City of Gold Coast through media work during the Covid crisis.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.Ch.B)
Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP)

Special Interests and Expertise

Dr Roger coordinates complex care needs for chronic health conditions including the specialised needs of the elderly.  His experience in skin conditions including skin cancers delivers his patients timely and appropriate skin cancer management within the General Practice setting.
