Aged Care GP's
Aged Care and Seniors Health
An Aged Care Doctor looks after the health of the elderly, treating the various illnesses and conditions that are typical of old age.
As patients grow older, so too does the complexity of health concerns.
The GPs in our rooms provide care to our senior and elderly patients and can provide referrals and work collaboratively with geriatricians and other health professionals when appropriate.
Aged Care – Common Conditions
Some of the more common geriatric conditions are:
- Falls
- Osteoporosis
- Heart disease
- Diabetes
- Dementia
- Kidney disease
- Memory loss
- Incontinence
- Weight loss / Under-nutrition
- Medication supervision
- Competency for driving and legal matters
From complex care needs to simple concerns, the providers in our rooms enjoy building relationships with our elderly patients.
Aged care GP services provide patients with dedicated primary care to help them live longer, happier and healthier lives.
Older patients may receive assistance from government programs for the aged. The GP's in our rooms can advise patients on these services and work collaboratively with allied health professionals where appropriate.
