Background and interests
We are thrilled to have Dr. Colinette Margerison, a highly experienced GP consulting from our practice 2-3 times per year. Dr Colinette has additional qualifications from the British Menopause Society (BMS) and the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH).
With a wealth of experience in women's health including reproductive health, gynaecology and complex women's health conditions, Dr. Colinette is actively involved in training and mentoring healthcare professionals. She tutors postgraduate medical students at Southampton University and serves as a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) coordinator for gynaecology and primary care.
Dr. Colinette also provides advice on family planning, preconception counselling and menopause management, including treatment options for patients with a history of cancer or those who have been advised they may have contraindications to HRT.
Graduating from Bristol University Medical School in 1996, Dr. Colinette initially trained in emergency medicine before transitioning to general practice. Since 2003, she has worked as a GP in the Midlands, Hampshire, and Australia.
