Dr Robertson Mackenzie

Dr. Rob is a dedicated GP Registrar with a background in intensive care and general medicine, now consulting at Robina Town Medical Centre.

Originally from the west coast of Canada, Dr. Rob moved to Australia in 2016 to pursue his medical studies. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Queensland in 2019 and began his career in Cairns as a junior doctor and intensive care registrar. After relocating to the Gold Coast, he continued his training in intensive care and general medicine at Gold Coast University Hospital. His experience spans a wide range of medical fields, including critical care, emergency medicine, general medicine, and surgery.

Dr. Rob is passionate about working closely with patients to address their health concerns. He values an individualised, evidence-based approach to medicine, ensuring his patients receive high-quality care tailored to their unique needs.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Rob enjoys spending time with family and friends and staying active—especially when it comes to finding new ways to tire out his energetic border collie.
