Musculoskeletal Disorders
Musculoskeletal conditions cause pain and discomfort, potentially impairing everyday activities.
Your Doctor can help treat musculoskeletal conditions, which affect the movement of the body.
The Musculoskeletal system
The Musculoskeletal system involves muscles, tendons, ligaments, soft tissues, nerves, blood vessels and bones. A variety of things can affect this system including age, activity level, occupation, lifestyle, posture, trauma, nerve irritation, repetitive strain and sudden exertion.

Diagnosis and Treatment
Early diagnosis is beneficial and many musculoskeletal conditions improve with ice, rest and elevation. Other treatments include anti-inflammatory medication – applied topically or taken orally, early mobilisation, physical therapy and occupational therapy. The aim of medications and therapies is to help manage pain during every day activities.
Help prevent musculoskeletal conditions by keeping fit, exercising regularly, wearing well-fitting footwear, and regular stretching.
If you're experiencing musculoskeletal pain and discomfort, book a standard appointment with one of the GP's in our rooms.
