Dr Nilushka Van Der Walt

Dr Nilushka van der Walt is a GP Registrar who graduated from the University of Notre Dame, Sydney, and has worked in NSW, Tasmania and Queensland.

Before commencing general practice training, she completed two years of paediatric physician training at Queensland Children’s Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and Royal Hobart Hospital. She has a special interest in paediatrics and is currently involved in research on autism screening in general practice.

Nilushka also enjoys chronic disease management, geriatrics and women’s health, and values building long-term relationships with her patients.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her young family, playing the piano, going to the beach and bushwalking.
