Background and interests
We welcome Dr Nisha to Robina Town Medical Centre! Born and raised in Canberra, Dr Nisha pursued her passion for healthcare completing her medical degree at James Cook University in Townsville. Throughout her career, she has gained invaluable experience at Townsville University Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital.
As a dedicated general practitioner, Dr Nisha finds fulfillment in providing comprehensive care to her patients. She enjoys all areas of general practice and has a particular focus on skin cancer medicine and women's health. Undertaking additional training in skin cancer medicine means in addition to routine skin checks, Dr Nisha can also offer patients biopsies and excisions. She is also skilled in the insertion and removal of Implanon and Mirena, providing women with convenient and effective contraceptive options.
With a strong commitment to preventive medicine, Dr Nisha prioritises the health screening of her patients, ensuring they stay on top of their well-being and detect potential issues early on. She believes in fostering open and trusting communication with patients, actively involving them in their healthcare journey and providing personalised care tailored to their specific needs.
When she's not caring for patients, Dr Nisha finds joy in sports such as tennis and cricket, as well as reading, painting and connecting with nature through camping.
With her warm and compassionate approach, Dr Nisha strives to create a safe and comfortable environment for her patients. She understands the importance of not only addressing medical concerns but also providing reassurance and support, especially during challenging times. Dr Nisha is here to guide you on your healthcare journey, offering expertise, care and commitment to your well-being.
