But that's not all there is to Dr Gerard - he also loves basketball, movies and TV shows in his downtime. He believes in the importance of a balanced lifestyle and finding joy beyond the medical field.

Dr Gerard’s educational journey includes studying at esteemed institutions such as the University of Queensland (UQ), Australian National University in Canberra for his undergraduate degree, and the John Curtin School of Medical Research (JCSMR) in Clinical Immunology graduating with first-class honours. He then pursued his Doctor of Medicine at Griffith Uni, Gold Coast.

Originally from Redcliffe, Dr Gerard gained valuable experience through diverse training opportunities. He completed his internship in Townsville, followed by his second year at Logan Hospital, and his third year was spent at Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH). He made the Gold Coast his home in 2016, and is passionate about serving the local community.

What brings Dr Gerard the greatest satisfaction in his medical career as a GP is the ability to help people, the intricacies of medicine, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life.
