The GPs at our practices are here to help you. We can see you face-to-face if you have respiratory symptoms such as a cold, cough and/or sore throat. We may request you to wait outside the practice until the doctor is ready to see you, to minimise exposure to other patients in the waiting room. We would appreciate it if you could ring ahead to let the practice know your symptoms, and wear a mask if possible, although masks are not necessary for children. There is also the option of a telehealth consultation if you are unable to get to the practice, or prefer to discuss your symptoms over the phone. Conditions apply to receive a Medicare rebate for telehealth appointments. If you are feeling unsure about what to do, please phone our Reception team in the first instance.

Telehealth Appointments

There are specific conditions that must be met to receive a Medicare rebate for Telehealth appointments:

• You must have attended an appointment at our practice in the previous 12 months
• The patient must be present if the Telehealth call is about them. If they are not, the fee is $85 and there is no rebate payable after the call. Appointments before 8am are considered out of hours and are $95.
• The call needs to be medically necessary to be bulk-billed to Medicare
• Telehealth options are phone or video

Telehealth appointments are ideal for simple appointment reasons, or if you suspect you may be unwell and should not attend in person.

More complex issues like medicals, insurance or WorkCover services should be booked through Reception as some appointments need longer or treatment room time.

Check with Reception if you are unsure as the provider reserves the right to invoice for lost time if you book inappropriately or you have not attended in the previous 12 months.

Cancelling Appointments

We understand there are times where you may need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.  We welcome your phone call to cancel an appointment as it allows us to offer the time to someone else in need. Please phone us to cancel if your appointment was for a treatment or procedure, e.g. minor surgery, vaccinations, dressings.

We also have a great new service where you can easily cancel a standard appointment  by replying 'NO' to your SMS appointment reminder

Please cancel with a minimum of 1 hour notice when possible.

Psychology appointments require 24 hours notice or you may be asked to cover the full fee without receiving a rebate.

No Photography

For the privacy and comfort of all patients, doctors and staff, photography and videography are strictly prohibited within our medical centres. This includes taking photos or videos of your children while they are receiving medical care. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a respectful and safe environment for everyone.

Code of Conduct

If we see any behaviour we consider intimidating, bullying or upsetting to our staff, security or Police will be called and you will be terminated from both of our practices.
